COMMENT:
The French aromamedicine school has well established
principles for application
of some essential oils, esspecially Eucalyptus by the
suppositories in order to treat respiratory conditions effectivelly. These
principles are based on the two facts:
–
The first one is the fact that the veins from anal
region bring essential oil down to the blood stream taking it directly to
the lungs, in a less than one minute, where it can fulfill a fast and full
effect.
–
The second one is the fact that essential oil
bypassing the liver avoid metabolic biotransformation and so it could
reach the place of its action unchanged.
The same principles are used as well by Pacific
Institut of Aromatherapy, San Rafael CA.
